The Pavilion

About the Sheffield Island Pavilion

Our daily guests meet here with our tour guides to hear about the lighthouse, it's history and all that is part of Sheffield Island. The pavilion serves as the "classroom" weekdays during May & June when we bring local children to Sheffield Island. In coordination with USFWS, local teachers and guest speakers, the children learn about the lighthouse, maritime history and wildlife at the refuge center. This permanent structure is perfect for groups of up to 100 people making it an ideal venue for special events, anniversary and birthday parties, weddings, showers, and corporate events. 

The Pavilion is 30 feet by 50 feet with soft lighting for evening events and ceiling fans that augment the gentle sea breeze.
