Make a Donation Today!The Norwalk Seaport Association is a 501-c-3 nonprofit and owner of Sheffield Island and its Lighthouse since 1986. Our primary mission is the restoration, preservation, and maintenance of Sheffield Island Lighthouse to ensure access for generations to come.
The Seaport Association derives 100% of its funding exclusively in-house through private and corporate donations, admission, events, annual membership dues, and merchandise sales. We depend on the generosity of donors like you to continue our on-going mission to preserve and disseminate the maritime and social history of the Sheffield Island Lighthouse.

Education
Part of our program is to introduce local children to the island each season, children that otherwise would not be able to afford this experience.
Maintenance
We have spent hundreds of thousands of donated dollars to improve the infrastructure of the Lighthouse and Island. We are far from finished and your donation will enable us to continue our mission.
Environment
The maintenance of Sheffield Island is important to the eco-system of Long Island Sound. The National Wildlife Refuge, (
https://www.fws.gov/refuge/stewart_b_mckinney ) adjacent to the Lighthouse is an important resting, feeding, and nesting habitat for many species of birds.
